The finish on the vanity in the bathroom is not just nicked in places but wearing away. The frig hinge cover is broken (tho the frig still works). The window is dirty (on the exterior, thank goodness), like someone threw something at it. The desk chair pleather is discolored and peeling off, like a cat shredded it. The grate on the HVAC system is thick w dirt. But the big problems are not physical design but cleaning/maintenance related. I was very disappointed the window does not open by design. The basic 2 queen room is the smallest I've seen at a HIE. I like the Holiday Inn Express brand and have found it provides reliable quality in many stays across the country.
